Assignment 5: Most Significant Discovery

My significant discovery of this lesson was to find that different Renaissance People came up with different ideas to help with different lifestyles and military uses to shape a new century and generation. The word Renaissance is defined as “rebirth” and “reconstruction” In the Renaissance people starting focusing more on their lives, rather than their deaths. This was a time of new discovery like instrumental music and art. During this time people displayed more freedom of music and art. People where starting to abandon the stricter Medieval Era.
Some ideas I did not consider was Leonardo’s Flying Machine for who knew that this work of ingenious would not only shape back then but led to other flying devices to this era of time. I would have never guessed that Leonardo invention would have shaped some of our major devised and discoveries of today.
I also did really think about the ideal that even back in the Renaissance people could have different ways of dance and lifestyles. In the dance world you had two totally different dance styles.  This was very interesting how in this era there was country dance and court dance. You still had your Traditional folk and Upper class clicks. The country dance was fun, flirty and anyone could dance. The court dance was more proper, you had to be trained danced, and elaborately dressed.
I could make a connection between the Renaissance dance Module and other Units in this class. Like Unit 1 Appreciating the Arts. I think the connection is to understand the importance of studying all art. Renaissance era was a period and rebirth of humanism and cultural achievements for all forms of art and even music. The Renaissance had a great influence on the American culture, society and art world today.
