                            Watching a Dance

While watching this film with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire” Smoke Gets in Your Eyes” I discovered how the force of elegant this dance looked and romantic. They look weightless to me. It’s almost look like there floating. The time and space is flawless. Fred is the choreographer and Ginger is following his lead. This is an artistic dance. They both express their graceful passionate feeling, then all the sudden the force and energy changes the tone of the music and dancing becomes more intense. The space between them changes with the level and direction is a different pace; it did change the mood and tone to fun and upbeat.

Then the rhythm would change again going right back into the first sound of soft and elegance. There seem to be a pattern on this video, the mood of the music and dancing would change up and down with the time of the beat and tempo. You would be watching and the place in my mind would be relaxed and then it would change my mood. I would want to start tapping my feet. Each time it would set a different mood and performance, not just for the performers but for the audience as well. I really enjoyed this video.

  1. Austin, I'm glad you enjoyed the clip! You do a really nice job capturing the mood and describing the elements. I can't quite follow your first sentence. You are writing with a nice tone in these entries, but you still want to make sure you do a proofread before posting. You are so right about them looking weightless! Nice job.
