My favorite song of the 1950’s would be just so happen to be
a rock-n –roll song and the title was “Rock Around The Clock” It was a hit for
Bill Haley and his Comets in the 1950’s. They also had another good song I like
‘Shake Rattle and Roll” I love the beat to these two songs. These songs make me
want to get up and dance and they never get old. Bill had great vocals and
could play the guitar. I love the beat and harmony to these songs. They have
great rhythm and I also enjoyed this music because it was decent and fun. There was
never any bad language in the 1950’s music. It was hip and cool, without all
that garbage.
I love the words.”Shake Rattle and Roll” I mean seriously
you don’t hear songs like these today. I think this type of performance is rare
and music style has change so much. They do say that everything seems to go
around in a cycle, so maybe we will see and hear this type of substance again
in our music world and no matter what we will always have Bill Haley and his
Comets “Rock Around The Clock Tonight” to go back and pick us up.

That's great, Austin! You've got a retro soul. Those are great songs, with such strong backbeats. It's kind of funny that some people found those early rock n' roll songs threatening and 'dirty' at the time because of the rhythm and 'wildness' of them. They sound so innocent now, and you are right, they are timeless. That music was hip and cool without putting anybody down or using rude language. Great job.
