Assignment 3 - Blog: Collaborative skills

I think two heads are better than one. I think that you had two very talented artist and they had different ideals and different points of view. I think they combined this together and bam you got a master piece. I think working with someone else can always have its pros and cons, but I think two people who have the same passion for art have a common understanding. I think these two artists coming together was a very selfless thing to do. I can see some artist wanting all the glory for their own work, but I think these two artists coming together shows how the art world can work together as a whole to expand and explore new and innovated ideals.

I like to draw and I would one day love day to be a famous artist. I wouldn’t mind sharing my ideals and inspirations with other artist. However I don’t mind working alone either. I think as long as an artist can do what they love and express themselves in their own form of art they will be happy working alone or with collaboration, as long as they do what they love, I believe they would be happy.

  1. The collaboration between Rauchenberg and Cunningham couldn't have been as successful or as notable if they hadn't been such respected individual artists who had already done so much on their own, right? Some art forms, like dance, require a level of collaboration if they are going to have original music, choreography, and dancers, while drawing can be done much more as a solo venture, or perhaps in collaboration.
